Do you know for sure that you are on your way to Heaven?

1. Realize…All Mankind is Sinful

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” – Romans 3.23 “There is none righteous, no, not one:” – Romans 3.10

Everyone who has ever walked on this planet has at least one thing in common, their sin nature. You don’t have to teach people to be selfish; you have to teach them to be kind. This is because we are born sinners.

2. Realize…Our Sin has a Penalty

“For the wages of sin is death;” – Romans 6.23a

Every human being who has ever lived is a sinner, and that sin carries with it a price, eternal separation from God forever in a place called Hell.

3. Realize…Christ Paid for your Sin on the Cross

“but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6.23b “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” – 1 Peter 2.24

Jesus Christ did something for mankind that we could not do for ourselves; He paid our sin debt. The sinless died for the sinful. Through His death on the cross, Christ is offering you is salvation, full, free, and forever. Romans 6.23 calls this salvation a “gift,” but you must receive this gift for your sin to be forgiven.

4. Realize…You must Personally Receive Christ as Savior

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” – Romans 10.13

The Bible says that “whosoever” shall call on Jesus Christ, shall be saved. That means it doesn’t matter what your religion is, how much money you have, or what you have done; Jesus Christ can and wants to save you. If you will turn to Christ, in faith, accepting that you are a sinner, that Jesus paid for your sin on Calvary’s cross, and then invite Him into your heart as your personal Savior, you can be sure that you are on your way to Heaven. Nothing and no one else can save you, only Jesus Christ can.

Sinner’s Prayer… Lord Jesus, I realize that I am a sinner. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and save me. Help me to live for you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
