I had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home with godly, faithful parents. When I was six years old, my Pastor, Dr. Jim Blalock, preached about Heaven and how only those who knew Jesus Christ as their personal Savior would go there. That night I realized for the first time that I was a sinner, and I trusted Christ as my Savior the next evening at home.

When I was twelve years old the Lord called me to preach, and I surrendered my life to His service. The Lord led me to Crown College where I graduated in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry and again in 2006 with a master’s of ministry. I met my wife in school, and we were married in 2007.

After graduating, I went to work at Beacon Baptist Church in Jupiter, Florida, as an Assistant to Pastor Jim Blalock. After serving there for close to 5 years, God led us to Neuse Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, as an Associate Pastor for Pastor David Shaffer. After serving there for 2 years, God has led my wife and I to Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Clayton, NC. We are excited about all that God has for us to accomplish together at Mount Calvary for His glory.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

When I was five years old, I was attending a mission conference with my family. The preacher in his invitation mentioned the word “salvation.” I asked my mom what the word meant, and the next day when I got home from school, she sat me down in the kitchen and showed me from the Bible that I was a sinner and that I deserved hell. But God had a gift for me called salvation. I trusted in Jesus Christ that day and accepted God’s free gift of salvation.

Every year my youth group would attend a youth conference in Walkertown, NC. When I was fifteen I felt God calling me into the ministry. I then attended West Coast Baptist College, and graduated in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Missions. I met my wife Samantha at West Coast, and we were married in the summer of 2014. In March of 2015, the Lord added to our family a baby boy named Connor. We are excited to serve the Lord as a family.

After graduation, I was accepted into the Advanced Ministry Training program, run by Evangelist Dr. Tom Farrell. This program involves interning at three different churches for three month periods each. In July of 2014, God led us to Mount Calvary Baptist Church. We are looking forward to what God is going to do, and how He is going to use us for His glory at Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
